Other materials include an application for membership in the Grand Army of the Republic, circa 1892; a deed to Jacob B. and Lucy M. Kuhns, March 14, 1893, conveying property in Washington County, Oregon; a manuscript letter to an unidentified newspaper editor, written from Los Angeles, California, 3 pages, June 22, 1924, and describing a trip; and correspondence concerning Stephens' pension, Civil War record, and headstone.
