Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Dr. Cecilie Froelich, a native of Germany, received her Ph.D. at the University of Bonn where she studied mathematics and engineering. After her arrival in the United States, she took a position at New York City College (1942) where she was professor of mathematics and, eventually, chair of the department of electrical engineering. Froelich also served as professor of mathematics at Pacific University from 1965 to1970. In 1983 Froelich was honored by the American Association of University Women (AAUW).

The collection consists of a scrapbook created in honor of Cecilie Froelich, math professor at Pacific University, by the Forest Grove chapter of the American Association of University Women; and an audiocassette recording of a talk she gave to the association in 1983.
