Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Clifford Paul Cyr was born in Missoula, Montana, on October 10, 1915, to Paul and Laura Cyr. He attended Missoula County High School. He graduated from the University of Montana in 1940, having majored in music, and then taught school in Hysham, Montana. He enlisted in the Army in 1941 and served in the United States and overseas. He married Herta Wilhelmine Hohendorf of Germany in 1950. The couple lived for a time in Amarillo, Texas. Cyr was dischared from the Air Force in 1961. Clifford P. Cyr died in Missoula on March 20, 1991, and Herta Cyr died in Missoula on February 18, 1999.

This collection contains 36 reels of 8mm film. The films are home movies from vacations and outings, likely filmed by Clifford Cyr and his family. Most of the home movies are in color with no sound, one is in black and white.
