- The office of Adminstrative Vice President was created in 1967 and its functions were merged into the current offfice of Vice President for Administrative Services in 1973. The office developed long-range physical plans; directed maintenance, operations, and construction of buildings and grounds; and represented the University with external public and private agencies in matters concerning planning, zoning, traffic, law enforcement, and related areas. During the period covered by these records, Brigham D. Madsen served as Administrative Vice President. This collection contains correspondence, memoranda, and reports related to general campus administration. Principal subjects covered are planning, construction, security, personnel, physical plant operations, and space allocation. Also included are correspondence and reports of the Western History Association of which Brigham D. Madsen was a member.
