The Pacific Northwest Conservation Council was "an affiliation of sports and conservations groups in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana." It concerned itself with issues of forestry, fisheries, watersheds, land and game management, dams and national parks. At their annual meetings, discussions on these topics would lead to recommendations made, which they would forward to Northwest senators and representatives. They also testified at both local and federal governmental hearings.
