Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Lila Hunter taught in the Seattle Public Schools from 1916-1956. She was vice president ca. 1928 and president from 1936-1939 for the Local 200, American Federation of Teachers. She was also president of Washington State Federation of Teachers from 1937-1939 and regional vice president for the American Federation of Teachers from 1938-1946.
