Summary: The Department of Meteorology at the University of Utah is one of the oldest active meteorology departments in the United States. Organization of the department began in 1946 with the first Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology being awarded in June 1948. Currently the department awards both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The collection contains memoranda, reports, budgets, and meeting minutes related to general departmental administration. Also included are correspondence and reports related to research projects in meteorology funded by various federal government agencies.
