The accession consists of approximately 200 page of handwritten notes taken from articles in various Washington newspapers concerning judges in the state's judicial system: their notable trials, sentencing records, speaking engagements, deaths, etc. The notes may have been used by Dr. Beardsley (former UW Law Librarian) in writing "Bench and Bar of Washington, 1849-1900," an unpublished manuscript concerning the state's judiciary and located at the UW Law Library.
