Historical NoteReturn to Top
J. K. Guttry (1869 - ?), of Sheridan, Oregon, lived and worked in rural areas in Oregon. In September 1890 he went to Akron, Ohio to attend Buchtel College. He returned to Oregon early in 1891 after a fire closed the school. He passed a teaching examination and took a teaching job in Harmony, Oregon.
