Summary:Chet Huntley was a nationally-known television and radio reporter from Montana. This collection includes an array of materials by and about Huntley: biographical information, personal and professional correspondence; scripts written for his radio and television projects, speaking engagements, and news commentary projects; press clippings, primarily spanning his years with NBC; obituaries published in diverse outlets; an extensive photographic collection; a small sampling of news and documentary broadcasts; and some three-dimensional memorabilia. The collection also includes extensive information regarding Huntley's role with the development of Big Sky Resort in Montana.

Summary:The Walter Matthau video is a "Hello to Montanans," particularly to those attending the September 1998 Civilian Conservation Corps reunion in Libby, Montana. In under three minutes, Matthau says hello, recalls his CCC days in 1939 including a fire on Dead Horse Ridge, enjoying the company of the other men, the good food, gaining 30 pounds of mostly muscle, and he tells a brief anecdote about Lawrence Welk.

Summary:Charles Orlando Porter was a lawyer in Oregon and a congressional representative of the fourth district of Oregon from 1957-1961. The collection contains his political and congressional papers from 1954-1961. Included are materials on bills introduced in the 85th and 86th Congresses. The majority of the collection consists of subject files. Porter's 1954 campaign materials are also included.

Summary:The Robert W. Straub Oral History Project, commissioned by the Robert W. Straub Archives Advisory Board and conducted by oral historian Michael O'Rourke, documents the life and legacy of former Oregon governor Bob Straub through the testimony of family, friends, and colleagues. Interview subjects include Straub's wife Pat and several of their children, as well as former Oregon governors Barbara Roberts, Neil Goldschmidt, and Victor Atiyeh. The collection includes video recordings of interviews, transcriptions, and research materials.
