			<p>The Washington State University Libraries date to the founding of the Washington
				Agricultural College and School of Science, when the library was just a shelf in the
				President’s office in the first campus building. It quickly grew and became a room
				in the original College Hall, then half a floor in the Administration Building
				(Thompson Hall), then half of Bryan Hall, then the full Holland Library, and then
				the Owen Science and Engineering Library as well. Over time a number of departmental
				libraries acted as branches of the system, some officially and some unofficially. </p>

			<p>Primarily consists of budget information, correspondence, and administrative files
				related to library operations and collections. Also includes filed related to the
				reorganization of the library, as well as various files related to the Library
				Adminstrative Office. Files range from 1944-1977. </p>

			<p>This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing
				order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting
				performed by staff. </p>
			<p>Items are filed by subject matter. Box 1 contains mostly financial reports,
				correspondence, and administrative files related to library operations and the
				collections held within the library. Box 2 contains files related to the
				reoganization fo the library, as well as files related to the Library Administrative
				Office. </p>
