         <p>Thomas Kennedy Gray was born on January 13, 1834 in Ohio. He married Mary Gray, with whom he had three children, Ella, Mary and Suzie. He died on September 24, 1909 in Walla Walla, Washington.</p>

         <p>The Thomas Kennedy Gray Papers contain personal material related to Thomas Kennedy Gray. This collection, which dates from 1885, consists of correspondence and a transcription of a diary kept at the construction camp on the Northern Pacific Railroad, Green River, and Washington Territory, chiefly related to railroad construction.</p>
