		  subject files and committee records of a UW professor of psychiatry</abstract></did><bioghist encodinganalog="5450_"><p>UW. Professor of Psychiatry</p><p>Herbert Ripley was born in Galveston Texas On June 29, 1907. He
		  attended the University of Michigan and Harvard University Medical School
		  (Grad. 1933) He taught at Cornell University Medical College from 1935-1949. He
		  came to the UW Psychiatry Dept. in 1949 and served as its chair until 1969.
		  Ripley retired in 1977.</p></bioghist><scopecontent><p>Correspondence, curriculum materials, subject files and committee
