      <p>The collection consists of one typescript book manuscript, <title>Teaching Music in
					the Rural School</title>, written by Thomas Annett, Head of the Department of
				Music at La Crosse State Teachers College in Wisconsin. In 1935, Annett copyrighted
				the manuscript, which was ultimately published under a different title: <title>Music
					in the Rural School: A Simple and Direct Guide Covering Subjects of
					Organization, Planning, Listening, Part-singing, Instrumental Music, Creative
					Music, Seasonable Entertainment, etc</title>. This book was published in 1938 in
				Boston, Massachusetts by the Boston Music Company.</p>
