         <p>The Degree of Pocahontas is the ladies auxiliary of the Improved Order of Red Men, a fraternal organization founded in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1834. It is an offshoot of the Sons of Liberty, who participated in the Boston Tea Party dressed as Native Americans. They dress as Native Americans, are organized into tribes and observe rituals.</p>
