      <p>John M. Owada was born 14 March 1927 in Tacoma, Washington. He was evacuated to Tule Lake, California, at the start of World War II. He served in the army during that war and the Korean conflict. He died in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 14 November 2007.</p>
