Washington University from 1969-1976, during which time he collected these
materials.
The Edwin J. Allen, Jr. papers include materials related to Pacific
Northwest Native American culture. Among these materials are an illustrated
manuscript entitled "A Compendium of the Nooksack Indian Land Claims;" several
bibliographies in various states of completion; and Attorney Frederick W.
Post's files on Indian land claims cases before the Indian Claims Commission,
1950-1963. Post represented the Nooksack, Duwamish, Suiattle-Sauk and S'Klallam
tribes.
The collection is open to the public.
