         <p>Glendon Gee (1938-2013) was born in Rexburg, ID. He attended elementary and high school in Denver, CO, and Lander, WY, and continued his education at Ricks College, Utah State University, and Washington State University, where he earned his Ph.D. degree in soil physics. He worked as a soil physicist and hydrologist at Battelle Northwest Laboratories, specializing in research on water movement through soil, water and contaminant transport, and methods for managing hazardous waste. He taught at Washington State University, the University of New Hampshire, and North Dakota State University.</p>

         <p>This collection consists of professional papers of soil scientist Glendon W. Gee. The collection contains files, notebooks, photographs, and audiovisual media related to research projects including surface barrier development at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation site in Washington State, and a remedial investigation at Hill Air Force Base, as well as other projects.</p>
         <p>Preliminary inventory:</p>
         <p>Box 1. Research files, notebooks (Water flux meters, 2000-2003; VZ, 1998), photographs, and audiovisual media (DVD, VHS, audiocassette), and Gee vita. [also: processing file, with copy of Gaylon Campbell's memorial address at Gee's funeral]</p>
