Simmonds and Wayne G. Jaggi in April 1971, documenting historic buildings in Cache
Valley (Utah and Idaho). Simmonds provided detailed information about each structure,
including the year built, materials, specific details such as gables, and sometimes even
the cost of construction. Buildings pictured include LDS churches, city buildings,
residences, and farm buildings. The collection is broken into two parts; one for the
Simmonds photographs and one for the Jaggi photographs. The order of the prints is the
order that Simmonds originally gave them when they were known as Portfolio 11 and
Portfolio 12. The prints were made from 120 mm negatives which are currently missing.
