			<p>Bruce Harding (1925-2009), was the University Records Manager at Washington State
				University, and became the Consultant on Archives for the National Hemlock Society
				in 1990. Harding worked at the WSU Libraries from 1975 to 1985. </p>

			<p>The National Hemlock Society is associated with the lobbyist group End of Life
				Choices, and the current organization Compassion and Choices. </p>

				Consultation program uses the power of choice and comfort to restore hope to
				individuals and their loved ones at the end of life." "Compassion and Choices

			<p>This collection contains papers by and about the Hemlock Society, collected by Bruce
				C. Harding (1925-2009), a professional archivist who served as Consultant on
				Archives for the Society in 1990. The collection includes newsletters, a small
				amount of correspondence, chapter information, and materials related to assisted
				suicide legislation. Some of the material is from the national society, but most is
				from local chapters.</p>
