		  linguistics, especially Salish languages</abstract></did><bioghist encodinganalog="5450_" id="a2"><p>Brent Douglas Galloway, professor emeritus of First Nations University
		  and the University of Regina (Saskatchewan, British Columbia), studied Salish
		  languages, primarily Halkomelem, Nooksack, and Samish. Halkomelem is spoken by
		  the Sto:lo (or Stalo) people. Galloway's linguistic studies also included
		  Gullah and Black English. In his research, Galloway focused on semantics and
		  phonology. He developed a semantic theory entitled, "multi-dimensional
		  semantics." Galloway also researched the complexities of computer processing
