      <p>Elta Mayer (1888-1975) and Herbert Arthur Coull (1883-1968) were married in Ellensburg, WA, June 22, 1915. The couple first resided at Ellensburg, moving to Connell in 1920 with their two young children, Herbert John (1918-1924) and Katherine Jane (1919-2008). In 1924, the Coull family moved to Spokane.<?xm-replace_text {Text of biographical or historical note, in paragraphs; separate each with paragraph tags}?></p>

      <p>This family diary begins with an entry from June 22, 1915, the wedding day of Elta Mayer and Herbert Arthur Coull: "This is our family log book. In it will be inscribed--The important events, the names of visitors, and any other thing that should be put into the record as we sail the sea of life."
