      <p>The collection consists of genealogical and biographical information and memorabilia compiled by Milton Stephenson "Steve" Jones (born 1948). The materials relate to the Jones and Jenkins families and related families, who came to Oregon and Washington in the 19th century. Individuals who are highlighted in the collection include Alan W. Jones (1894-1969), Alan W. Jones, Jr. (born 1921), Jule Hallie-Jessie Jones vom Orde (born 1924), Milton S. Jones (1865-1953), Jessie Mary "Peg" Jones McCormick (1892-1968), Isaiah DeNoon Jones (1824-1884), Leventon J. Jones (1792-1850), Henry Clay Jenkins (1836-1883), Willis Jenkins (1801-1877 or 1805-1877), and William Jenkins (circa 1773-circa 1882). </p>
      <p>Memorabilia in the collection consists of photographs; personal papers such as correspondence and financial records; newspaper clippings; ephemera; and two copies of the Professional Mixing Guide for Bartenders Union Local 496 of Portland, Oregon, both with inscriptions from Henry Clyde Jenkins (1877-1947). The bulk of the collection is organized in four binders. Materials that are not in these binders consist of nine photographs, one copy of the mixing guide, and a letter to Steve Jones.</p>
