Collection contains Tom Horn’s autobiography, <emph render="italic">Life of Tom Horn by Himself</emph>, based on his writings and testimony of friends and correspondence from Mrs. John C. Coble, the wife of his former employer.</abstract>

  	<head>Biography of Tom Horn</head>
    <p>Thomas Horn Jr. was born on November 21, 1860. He was a U.S. government scout and interpreter, cowboy, soldier, range detective, and Pinkerton agent in the American West during the 19th and early 20th-centuries. Believed to have committed 17 killings as a hired gunman throughout the West, Horn was convicted in 1902 of the murder of 14-year-old Willie Nickell near Iron Mountain, Wyoming for which he was executed on November 20, 1903.</p>
