  	<head>Biography of John W. Taylor</head> 

    <p>John W. Taylor (1891-1971) was a journalist and newspaper editor. He began his career with the U.S. News and World Report between 1934 and 1937 in Washington, D.C. Taylor worked as editor from 1937 to 1952 of the Bureau of National Affairs’ “Labor Relations Reporter” publication. He then served as director of BNA until 1959 when he retired.</p>

    <p>Collection contains items written by Taylor for the “State of the Union” column of the U.S. News and World Report; approximately 2,000 articles written from 1935 to 1936; and an editorial by David Lawrence for the U. S. News and World Report about the death of John W. Taylor’s son, Sherman Taylor, in Italy during World War II.</p>
