History of Project Wagon WheelProject Wagon Wheel was created to see if it was feasible to use underground nuclear blasting for natural gas exploration south of Pinedale, Wyoming. By 1971 political pressure from environmental groups and local residents stopped the Wagon Wheel Project.
Scope and ContentThis collection contains well logs, reports, and environmental statements pertaining to natural gas extraction in Sublette County, Wyoming. The collection also containis some records pertaining to W.A.S.P. or the Wyoming Atomic Stimulation Project.
