Collection includes records for multiple organizations: Pacific Northwest Chapter/Medical Library Association (PNC/MLA), Washington Medical Libraries Association (WMLA), and Seattle Area Hospital Library Consortium (SAHLC). PNC records (Boxes 1-4, 7) include correspondence, meeting minutes, membership lists, chapter goals, annual conference manual, MLA history, declaration of chapter compliance, medical school group documents, responsibilities manual, treasurer's manual, goals & objectives, award ceremony materials, articles of incorporation, PNC history, transcription of oral history of Gerald J. Oppenheimer, official stationary, bylaws, membership compliance, membership surveys, annual meeting/conference materials (including cassette tape recordings and exhibit materials), photographs, and newsletters. Also includes, documents specific to the following committees, Communication Committee, Program Committee, Executive Committee, Government Relations Committee, Continuing Education Committee, Nominating & Election Committee, various Liaison Committees, Chapter Council, Education Committee, Centennial Committee, Publication Committee, and Research Committee. Includes various reports including, chapter reports, budget reports, treasury reports, and archivist/archives reports.
WMLA (Box 5) records include bylaws, meeting minutes, newsletters, treasurer's reports, total quality management program, document delivery, network plan, correspondence, fact sheets, conference materials, award plaque, and meeting materials.
SAHLC (Boxes 6 and 8) records include, membership applications, bylaws, grant proposal, official stationary, meeting minutes, continuing education documents, cooperative storage documents, directories/lists, newsletters, salary survey, statistic reports, statistical survey, contracts and agreements, meeting materials, policies & procedures manual, committee information, committee reports, treasurer's reports, tax documents, and founding documents.
Most of the material (Box 12,13) concerns the organization's annual/bi-annual meetings, 1953-1983.
