The collection comprises films and videotapes created by or about students, faculty, and staff of the University of Oregon, created between 1919 and 2009. Items include films made by faculty for teaching or to demonstrate research; home movies; footage of athletic events; commencements; homecoming and similar activities; footage of campus, classrooms, and buildings; dance and music performances; documentaries; recruitment and promotional films; and a feature-length narrative film produced by students in 1929 called
