The American Creosoting Company (ACC) was founded in 1907 in Richmond, Indiana, and quickly acquired several other companies in the United States that worked in the wood preservation industry. The company merged with United States Creosoting Company in 1950 and it in turn was acquired by Union Bag Camp Paper Corporation in 1956.
Collection contains the records of the American Creosoting Company and its affiliated companies prior to the merger with Union Bag in 1956. Collection includes ACC Board of Director's minutes of meetings and certificates of stock (1907-1956); and affiliated companies minutes of meetings and stock certificates (1905-1950).
There are no access restrictions on the materials for research purposes, and the collection is open to the public.
