The collection contains subject files on a variety of topics including conservative politics, Foursquare church and ministry, alternative medicine, Christian schools, and materials include financial records, correspondence, pamphlets, clippings, and other printed matter, audio, and video tapes.</abstract>

         <p>Collection is open to the public. Collection must be used in Special Collections and University Archives Reading Room. Collection or parts of collection may be stored offsite. Please contact Special Collections and University Archives in advance of your visit to allow for transportation time.  Collection includes sound recordings, moving images, and digital files to which access is restricted. Access to these materials is governed by repository policy and may require the production of listening or viewing copies. Researchers requiring access must notify Special Collections and University Archives in advance and pay fees for reproduction services as necessary.</p>

         <p>Walter Huss (1918-2006) was a reverend, a businessman, a conservative who competed in Republican primaries in Oregon, and was chair of the Oregon Republican Party from 1978-1979.</p>
         <p>Huss was a reverend in the Foursquare church and founded the Eugene Christian School. He also competed in Oregon Republican primaries for offices that include, but are not limited to, the U.S. Congress, U.S. Senate, and Oregon Governor. He was against changing the name of Portland's Union Ave to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. He was also interested in herbal and alternative medicine.</p>

         <p>The collection contains subject files on a variety of topics including conservative politics, Foursquare church and ministry, alternative medicine, Christian schools, and materials include financial records, correspondence, pamphlets, clippings, and other printed matter, audio, and video tapes. Since this collection was minimally processed some material may be restricted.</p>
         <p>The subject files are arranged in rough alphabetical order.</p>
         <p>Since this collection received only a basic level of processing, some restricted material in still present in the collection. Some folders are titled  "Restricted" when we could identify that there might be confidential information contained in the file. There may be other confidential information in the collection. Please see the Conditions Governing Use for more information about what to do if you find confidential information. </p>
         <p>The finding aid contains a preliminary box and folder list. When a folder had no title sometimes the processor(s) described the color of the folder or binder or wrote "blank" as the title. There are also many loose (unfoldered) items throughout the collection. These items are listed in the box and folder list with a title or description but have no folder number. </p>
