Of particular interest are the minutes of a 1911 tribal council meeting opposing the allotment of lands to individual Indian of the Ft. Belknap Agency. Some letters from the Canadian Northwest Mounted Police discuss the transport of stolen horses across the border. Other letters describe irrigation projects and water rights on the Milk River. A rough draft of an 1887 agreement between the Indians of the Ft. Belknap, Ft. Peck and Blackfeet agencies and the U.S. government for a diminished reservation is also included. Belknap Indian Agency to military officers, other Indian agents, employees, merchants, bankers, Indians and others. There are a few letters to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs and letters from 1878-1887 are predominantly outgoing, addressed to military officers and deal with Indian migrations, raids, and horse stealing. An 1878 letter describes raids on Ft. Belknap Indians by renegade Sioux and Sitting Bull. Outgoing letters from 1878-1887 seem to compliment letters from that period in entry 6. Other topics include tribal enrollments, grazing permits, claims for damage to crops and lands from the building of the Ft. Belknap-Dodson Reservoirs, Indian education and agency fiscal matters. The formal October 1895 agreement for a diminished Ft. Belknap Agency is also included. Arranged chronologically."

NARA series #75.19.30-9. "After 1925, general correspondence and reports were arranged by a decimal instead of an alphabetical subject file or registry system. This series, pre-1926 correspondence, was brought forward and incorporated into the decimal file of this Ft. Belknap Indian agency. Some annual reports were retained in the decimal file; others were not. Files relating to the Rocky Boy's Indian Agency are also included."

Reports from 1913-1925 deal with agency finances and personnel, law and order, health, education, industries (agriculture), forestry, irrigation, and tribal censuses. Not every report has a narrative accompanying the annual statistics. Arranged chronologically."

NARA series #75.19.30-14. "Descriptive statements of Indian and white employees of the Ft. Belknap Indian Agency, day and boarding schools, the Milk River, Peoples Creek and Lodge Pole day schools, and Indian police. Statements include name of employee, sex, race, age, marital status, position, previous occupation, birthplace, residence, where employed and for what tribes, date of nomination, dates of service, compensation, regular and irregular employee, and remarks. Entries are arranged chronologically, and by place of employment there under."

NARA series #75.19.30-16. "Personal histories and efficiency reports of Indian and white employees at the Ft. Belknap Indian Agency and schools. Personal histories include employees name, race, dater, and place of birth, occupation, salary, other Indian office service, military service, education and physical attributes. Efficiency reports evaluate teachers and farmers-in-charge and include the employee's name, race, position, salary date and comments."

NARA series #75.19.30-21. "Fragmentary records reflecting the implementation of school policies and the daily activities of the students. Included are annual reports, correspondence, reports of supervisory visits to classrooms, application for enrollment, statements of children transferred to St. Paul's Mission school and other non-reservation schools, tuition statements from St. Paul's Mission school, school activities, reports of examination and promotion, and printed reports of the superintendent of Indian Schools. NARA series #75.19.30-31. "A Work Progress Administration project intended to document allotments of land to Indians on the Fort Belknap Reservation. Records include instructions for completing allotment forms; list of allottees and allotment numbers containing allotment or estate records, stating names and no. of allottees, date of allotment, legal description of land, and disposition of allotments, i.e. removal of restriction, certificate of competency, issuance of fee patents, sale by approved deed, relinquishment, etc.; and land reserved for special purposes."

NARA series #75.19.30-32. "Surveys conducted by the Superintendent, farmer and field matron to determine status of Indian and allotments on the Ft. Belknap Indian Agency. Surveys for each family include: allotment number for head of household, degree of blood, status (ward or non-ward), number for family members and statements regarding type of allotment and present land use, health, description of family members (including allotment statements), physical description of dwelling, reimbursable debts, crops and livestock raised over the past year, and date of survey. Most surveys include a photograph of the family and their dwelling."

NARA series #75.19.30-33. "Fragmentary records related to irrigation programs at the Ft. Belknap Indian Agency include a report and estimated cost of irrigating systems for Milk River, Beaver Creek, Big and Little Warm Springs, Lodge Pole and Peoples Creek (1898), annual statistics of irrigable and irrigated lands and a list of irrigated lands on Indian allotments (1924-1933), and water uses census, indicating the users name and a description of the irrigated land (1938-1940, 1944)."

NARA series #75.19.30-35. "Annual and monthly statistical reports of farming operations at locations on the Ft. Belknap Indian Agency. There are annual reports for the Ft. Belknap Indian Training Schooled and the Hays sub-agency including a list of crops raised at the school, and acres cultivated and livestock raised by specific Indians on the Hays district. Monthly reports of resident farmers include Indian assisted and instructed in farming techniques, acres plowed and planted, crops stored or processed, houses erected by Indians, condition of stock, and remarks. Arranged chronologically."

NARA series #75.19.30-36. "Records relating to the establishment of a program of sugar beet farming for the Indians in conjunction with private industry. The program proposed that unoccupied agency land be leased to private sugar-beet companies, who would Indian labor to cultivate the beets. Indian profits would be applied to a general reservation refund or payment to individual Indian laborers and investment in annual farm machinery. Records include correspondence to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs, sugar-beet companies and others regarding the program description and implementation, leases for sugar beet farming executed by the Business Council of the Indians of Ft. Belknap, the CIA, the Superintendent and private farms."

NARA series #75.19.30-39. "The Milk River Stock Administration administered a large portion of grazing lands for the use of other Indians in the Milk River district. Grazing fees were charged to Association members and non- members. Receipts were entered into an I.I.M. account Entries include Association estimates of receipts and expenses and grazing charges, and receipts for leases including allotments numbers, names, amount paid and number of stock grazed."

NARA series #75.19.30-40. "Fragmentary operational record pertaining to grazing activities on leased land. Subjects include the allocation of range units, powers of attorney for grazing permits, schedules of ranges, range inspection, abstract of bids for grazing privileges, Indian stockman's grazing money, official tribal receipts, record of payments for grazing permits, performance of yearling stars on summer mountain ranges, and cattle censuses."

NARA series #75.19.30-47. "Files pertaining to the implementation of forestry program activities at the Ft. Belknap and Rocky Boy's Agencies. Records include annual forestry and grazing reports, annual fire reports, and fire protection records, Ft. Belknap and Rocky Boy's sawmill reports, and analysis of expenditures. NARA series #75.19.30-62. "Family history cards were compiled about 1909 "to establish in each agency office a set of files in regard to individual Indians especially allotees." History cards developed at the Ft. Belknap Indian Agency omitted allotment numbers, however. Entries may include name of allottees, where married and by whom, if divorced, where and date, Indian and English names of spouse, their parents and children and dates of birth and death."

The records include monthly and quarterly sanitary reports listing types and frequency of diseases among Indians, physician's semi-annual statistical reports, lists of supplies and medical used in administering the health program, instructions an correspondence regarding the 1918 influenza epidemic, census of hospital patients and certificates excusing children from class due to illness. Monthly and quarterly reports for the 19th entry include narrative sections dealing with efforts to improve sanitary conditions at Ft. Belknap. Arranged by type of record and there under chronologically."

Registers contain names and ages of family members. Ration applications and related correspondence are also included."
