Abraham Sofaer (1896-1988) was an actor who began performing at the Palace Theater in New York. He toured with Alexander Marsh and Harold V. Neilson’s company where he played nearly one hundred Shakespearean roles. Throughout his later career, Sofaer transitioned to film and television.
Collection contains books with the plays of William Shakespeare that contain annotations and acting notations.
There are no access restrictions on the materials for research purposes, and the collection is open to the public.
