			<p>Donald Bushaw taught mathematics at Washington State University from 1952 until the
				1990s, attaining the rank of full professor, and was named Emeritus Professor upon
				his retirement. Bushaw received his bachelor's degree from Washington State College
				in 1949, and his Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1952. Among his many honors, he
				received WSU's Distinguished Faculty Award in 1987. </p>

			<p>The Greystone Foundation was formed during 1988 in the interest of preserving one of
				Pullman's landmark buildings, the gray stone church in the Maiden Lane neighborhood.
				Though a landmark building, this structure had no economic use. Demolition of the
				building was not an immediate concern, as the property on which it was located had
				no alternate use. The foundation accordingly sought to assist in finding sympathetic
				investors to assume ownership and to identify a possible use of the structure. </p>
			<p>Later, in 1993 and especially after 1996, the Foundation assumed an active role in a
				second project, the Koppel Farm. This project concerned a community garden and
				related efforts. </p>

			<p>This collection consists of Donald Bushaw's papers from his service on the board of
				directors of the Greystone Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the
				restoration and use of the historic Greystone Church building in Pullman, WA. The
				Greystone Foundation operated during the late 1980s through early 1990s. The
				collection includes minutes, by-laws, articles of incorporation, correspondence,
				membership information. documentation of events, grant applications, and
				miscellaneous material.</p>
