      <p>Elinor Pillsbury (1898-1987) was a poet and journalist. She served as a club reporter and editor for the Oregon Journal and Portland Reporter newspapers for nearly thirty years. She retired in 1963.</p>

      <p>Collection includes writing by Elinor Pillsbury, including newspaper articles, poetry, and short stories, 1919-1962; correspondence and other materials regarding Sidney Lanier, 1940-1942; correspondence and articles related to a controversy concerning the Portland Women's Forum, 1962; and correspondence regarding community organizations, 1961-1962. Other materials in the collection include diaries, 1943-1973, notebooks, and account books. Also included are writings by Eva B. Pillsbury.</p>
