Alfred Geist Zantzinger (1936-2007) was a director and producer of documentaries on traditional types of music throughout the world, including musics of Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Cape Verde, Lesotho, South Africa, and Brittany. Zantzinger earned BA and MA degrees in folklore and anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Sekuru Simon Mashoko (1918. - 2007), from Masvingo, Zimbabwe, was a njari player who used the Shona mbira njari of 32 keys, different from the more common mbira dza vadzimu of 24 keys.

All three films were produced by Gei Zantzinger; directed by Andrew Tracey; camera by Les Blank; Editor Conley Benfield; field engineer - Bug Huggler; the second film includes field research assistant - Rosemary Logie; the third film is narrated by Rosemary Logie.

Contents: The first film features Ephat Mujuru and includes: Gift Mupfururi; Nicholas Mupfururi; Sylvester Mupfururi; Frederick Mujara; Lamech Tswatswa; Film 2 contains the Mbakumba dance, "Mweya wa Mwari" The Spirit of God, and Ngororombe.
