The Fern Smoot Taylor family papers (1854-1856, 1901) consist of a glossary and account book, by Isaac Bullock. The book contains sporadic entries of events at Fort Supply, Wyoming along with notes made on trade goods accounts. Bullock also composed a dictionary of Shoshoni words and phrases. Included in the collection are letters written to LDS missionary Abraham Owen Smoot III as a serially numbered round-robin letter from family members. It is entitled, "The Lone Tree Dispatch."

Twenty-four hour advanced notice encouraged. Materials must be used on-site. Access to parts of this collection may be restricted under provisions of state or federal law.

The original items have been removed and placed in Reserve. Access must be given by the Manuscripts Curator and by appointment. An archivist must remain with the items if being used.
