A graduate of Stanford University, Launder worked for the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company as a traffic facilities supervisor during the 1920s. In a professional capacity, he served as president of the Seattle Engineers Club and was a member of the American Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.</p></bioghist><scopecontent id="a3" encodinganalog="5202_"><p>Notebook, ca. 1920</p><p>The Arthur I. Launder architecture course notebook consists primarily of what appears to be an incomplete set of leaves from either a teaching notebook on residential architecture and design or Launder's own student notes and assignments. In addition to manuscript and typescript text, there are numerous sketches, elevations, and photographs, as well as six folded blueprints.</p></scopecontent><odd encodinganalog="500" id="a5"><p>See also Arthur I.
