The Associated Students of Washington State University serves as the goverment for the general student body. In 1915 the Associated Students of the State College of Washington was founded. When the college changed its name in 1959 to Washington State University, the association changed its name to the Associated Students of Washington State University (ASWSU). The ASWSU functions as the central office for student interests and concerns.
This collection contains administrative files, meeting notes, and financial reports related to the development and functions of the ASWSU from 1982-1983. Items also include a revised version of the ASWSU constitution and by-laws from the Spring of 1980.
This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting performed by staff.
