			<p>David Clark McNary (1917-1971) graduated from Washington State College (WSC) in 1940
				with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. While attending WSC, he met and married Helen
				Moss McNary (1916-2013). They eventually relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. </p>

			<p>The collection consists of letters from Washington State College (now Washington
				State University) Veterinary Medicine student David Clark McNary to his family in
				Pennsylvania. The bulk are addressed to his mother, Dorothy R. McNary, with a number
				addressed to his mother and father, Earle B. McNary, and his younger sisters, Edith
				and Evelyn. They discuss the day to day life of a college student and update his
				family on his progress towards his degree, as well as his and Helen’s life following
				graduation. The collection also includes a telegram from 1971 from a professional
				association to David McNary’s wife and family expressing condolences upon his
				death.</p>
