The Washington State University Libraries date to the founding of the Washington Agricultural College and School of Science, when the library was just a shelf in the President’s office in the first campus building. It quickly grew and became a room in the original College Hall, then half a floor in the Administration Building (Thompson Hall), then half of Bryan Hall, then the full Holland Library, and then the Owen Science and Engineering Library as well. Over time a number of departmental libraries acted as branches of the system, some officially and some unofficially. The Holland Library was expanded to include the Glenn Terrell Library in 1994, but was not officially named such until 2006.
Primarily consists of budget reports, inspections, building plans, and construction progress reports and correspondence. Also includes staffing information and reports related to the parking garage and the security system within the new Holland Library from about 1988-1994.
This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting performed by staff.
Items are in no particular order. Some files are organized into folders, but are mostly unorganized.
