      <abstract encodinganalog="5203_">Mark indsey was an immigrant from England in 1849 who started an amusement park named Lindsey Gardens. The <extref linktype="simple" show="new" href="https://collections.lib.utah.edu/search?q=P0477" actuate="onrequest" role="text/html">Mark Lindsey photograph collection</extref> contains portraits of Lindsey and images related to his life and work.</abstract>

      <p>Mark Lindsey was an immigrant from England in 1849. Once Lindsey arrived in Utah, he started an amusement park named Lindsey Gardens. The Mark Lindsey collection contains two portraits of middle aged Mark Lindsey and a photograph of the cloth factory where Lindsey was employed. This collection also contains a detailed invitation to a party given by Mark Lindsey in 1877, and a photograph taken of Lindsey Gardens during the 20th Ward's Sunday School meeting.</p>
