Cleone Bronson Cooper Hansen and her first husband, Joe Cooper, developed the Happy Jack Mine, located on the southwest rim of White Canyon near Blanding, Utah. Cleone Hansen's father, Fletcher Bronson, along with her husband, later formed the Bronson and Cooper Mining Company in 1946 after purchasing the mine. The mine was a major producer of uranium ore throughout the 1950s to the 1970s. Bronson and Cooper sold the mine to Texas-Zinc Minerals Corporation for $10 million in 1956. After her first husband's death, Cleone was married to Cecil P. Hansen.
