Carrie Terrell was born in Salt Lake City in 1954. Carrie and her family participated in outdoor recreation activities such as camping, hunting, fishing, and four wheeling. She attended Salt Lake Community College and was a NICU nurse at Intermountain Healthcare.

The Terrell family home movies collection consists of 36 VHS videotapes chronicling the lives of the four Terrell children growing up in West Valley City, Utah. A good portion of the footage records the family's daily life, such as their extracurricular activities. Other parts of the footage catalogues major events, such as school graduations, performances, and weddings. Finally, this collection contains footage of family events, vacations, and holidays.
The Terrell family hosts a Christmas party, goes sledding in Murray Park, the children sing in a school auditorium, a birthday is celebrated in an arcade, roller skate at an indoor roller rink, ride dirt bikes around sand dunes, have an Easter hunt, the children perform in school, goes to a waterpark, films their family farm with pigs and chickens, celebrate Thanksgiving, and decorates a Christmas tree.

The Terrell family goes camping at Lake Powell. They water ski, wakeboard, swim, parasail, tube, and ride dirt bikes. They get lost about 50 miles away from Moqui Canyon. There is a birthday party for one of the Terrell children. They ride dirt bikes and ATVs near some mountains, the children have a Halloween school presentation, and participate in a Christmas choir, singing Jingle Bells", "Frosty the Snowman", "Up on the Housetop", "Little Drummer Boy", "It's Christmas Everywhere", "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", and "We Wish You a Merry Chrismas".
The Terrell family camps in a mountain range (likely the Rocky Mountains). They ride dirt bikes, ATVs, and sand rails through the sand dunes, the children perform in school, the family goes to a beach in California, and to Disneyland, where they ride the Casey Jr. Circus Train, It's a Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Mad Tea Party, and they board the Jungle Cruise. They also film the Magic Castle and attend multiple shows, including Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, The Main Street Parade, and The Main Street Electrical Parade. At the end of the video, they visit a lakeside cabin, venture through the forest and circulate around a wooden shelter.
One of the Terrell children play in the little league flag football; the Granger Vikings vs. the Raiders. The family attends their kid's school talent showcase, a piano recital, and a dance competition. They go to Lake Powell, to a motorcycle race, to the mountains, to a horse camp, and they go camping. They film a school choir concert, Halloween, a Boys Scouts meeting, and a local Christmas parade. The end of the tape includes a recording of the ABC's May 6, 1986 broadcast: segments from North and South Book II: Love and War and ABC World News Tonight. WARNING: includes footages of dead deer.

The Terrell family travels to Denver, Colorado for their relative's car show. They travel to the 47th Annual Grand National Roadster Show in Oakland, California, watch some seals, visit the Crystal Geyser Water Company, listen to some live musicians, and ride around the shore in a boat.

Clothes are gathered from multiple specialty and department stores, including Saver's, Tus Towne, The Closet, and ShopKo.
This tape was created and manufactured by Carnival Cruise lines. The guests aboard the ship explore the coast of Mexico. They visit the Tulum Ruins, Xel-Hà Lagoon, and Cozumel. A wide variety of guests are interviewed during this cruise, including the Terrell family. Carnival Cruise Lines host a deck party. The guests enjoy a buffet and dance to a live band. The guests also participate in a hula-hoop competition and a limbo competition. Linson Terrell Jr. wins the limbo competition.

The family goes on a cruise that travels possibly to Norway. They film a beachside town as they depart and they explore the ship's deck at night. The family also films the Epcot's World Showcase held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. At the end of the recording, Carrie performs with her group Carrie and the Sidekicks.
