				is a collection of approximately thirty pamphlets, booklets and book-length
				literature relating directly to the establishment of an independent Israeli state in
				1948. The publications were largely produced during the first half of the twentieth
				century. Included are both pro- and anti-Zionist publications from private
				organizations such as activist leagues, humanitarian associations and special
				interest groups, as well as from governments. They represent a range of opinion from
				English, German, French and Swedish sources.</p>
