      <p> The Melville Mercantile Company was organized on June 30, 1892, by H.O. Hickox and Frank
        E. Taylor at Melville, Montana, in Park County. The firm was involved in the wholesale and
        retail sale of merchandise and agricultural equipment and had outlets in Melville and Big
        Timber. The company charter was dissolved on June 30, 1902. </p>
