      <p>Frank Newton English and Mary Louise Plummer English were educators in Colfax, Washington. Professor Frank Newton English (1951-1931) was the proprietor of English's Collegiate School and Colfax College in Colfax, Washington. </p>
      <p>Colfax College was a small private college founded in 1878. In 1902, Colfax College became English's Collegiate Academy, before closing its doors in the late 1920s.
