		  growth of the chain</abstract></did><bioghist encodinganalog="5450_" id="a2"><p>John Danz (d. 1961) founded the Sterling Theaters in the 1920s. His
		  wife Jessie (Mohr) Danz, 1889-1973, was active in the Jewish Welfare Society,
		  later renamed Jewish Family and Child Service. Caroline Danz (a daughter-law)
		  was in charge of a dramatic presentation celebrating the 80th anniversary of
		  the Jewish Family and Child Service in 1972.</p></bioghist><scopecontent><p>Note, file cards, reports, programs, clippings, financial records,
		  ephemera notebook (1905-1965), and photographs (1972).</p><p>Collection documents the growth of the Danz (John and Jessie) theater
