The WSU Physical Plant was originally known as Buildings and Grounds dating back to
at least 1908 when a superintendent was appointed to the department. The department
underwent a name change to Buildings and Grounds in the 1960's and a reorganizing in
the 80's. The department is responsible for small scale construction and remodeling
work around the WSU campus, as well as day to day maintenance.
This collection contains documents from the WSU Physical Plant between 1994-1999. Box
1 contains Correspondences and project plans for the WSU campus from 1996-1999. Box
2 contains plans for room renovations in Clark Hall, Fulmer Hall, and the French
Administrative Building from 1997. It also holds the plans for the installation of
telecommunication wiring systems in Beasley Coliseum from 1998. Box 3 contains
administrative data from 1998-1999. Box 4 contains plans for the 1994 WSU University
Housing Apartment Project, the 1997 French Administrative Building additions, and
the 1998 Campus Infrastructure and Road Improvements project.
This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing
order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting
performed by staff.
The items remain in their original order. Some files are labeled by year and project
name. The building files lack building numbers in the inventory.
This collection is open and available for research use.
