			<p>The Office of Student Affairs was organized to serve as the administrative body
				overseeing many facets of college life. Headed by the Dean of Students, the Office
				of Student Affairs includes the Associate Deans of men and Woman. By 1948, the
				Office had been re-organized to include additional administrative personnel, such as
				an Associate Dean of Students responsible for planning curricula for students who
				had yet to declare a major, and an Assistant Dean of Students whose duties included
				the development of educational, social, and cultural aspects of college residence
				life and to serve as an advisor to foreign students. Other officers included
				coordinators of student housing and veterans' affairs. The student counseling center
				and the placement bureau were also added to the Office of Student Affairs. </p>

			<p>This is an unprocessed collection. Any arrangement reflects either a pre-existing
				order from the records' creators or previous custodians, or preliminary sorting
				performed by staff. </p>
			<p>Box 1 contains Support Service Programs Annual Reports from 1978-1983. Box 2 contains
				Annual Reports from 1952-1953 and 1970-1977. Box 3 contains Annual Reports from
				1953-1970. Some of the materials overlap with University Archives 48.</p>
