The Albany Timber Carnival was held almost every year in early July
from 1941-2000. The Carnival had four major parts: logging sports, royal court,
parade, and fireworks show. The Timber Carnival was a popular summer attraction
in the Willamette Valley and was one of the nation's premier celebrations of
the timber industry.
Album of photographs of Timber Carnival activities in Albany, Oregon,
including single buck log sawing, underhand log chopping, speed climbing, and
log rolling. Also includes photograph of Tim-Burr leather jackets.
